GET YOUR PORK ON Saturday, May 2, between 12 p.m. and 10 p.m. at Salt River Fields in Scottsdale for the 6th Annual Arizona BBQ Festival & Redneck Games. It’s the largest honky-tonk in Arizona. The highlight of this event are the hilarious Redneck Games, with toilet seat horseshoes, bobbing for pig’s feet, a daisy dukes beauty pageant, and other redneckthemed contests. There will be more than 25 top pit-masters dishing out pulled pork, ribs, brisket, chicken and all the fixin’s to keep you going. Every vendor will also offer a $2 sample item so you can try them all, plus full meal if you’re really hungry. A tented music stage, mechanical bull riding showdowns, and fun party bars round out the fest. Come in redneck costume (find tips on the website) and stop by the photo booth for a memento of your day out in Scottsdale. General Admission is $12, VIP is $60 ($75 at the gate) and kids 12 & under are free. Parking is free. All BBQ vendors offering $2 sample items. For more information, visit www.azbbqfestival.com.
